Low Self Esteem : Ways to Overcome

Life is too short to for complexities and self-pity. To lead a happy and contented life, we should learn to create our own identity and develop a sense of self-confidence. The prime concept behind ‘self-confidence’ is to accept and love yourself, despite our flaws and defects. We should always remember that no one in this world is perfect and expecting too much from own self can always lead to a lot of depression and despair, particularly if the wishes are not fulfilled. Accepting who you are will go a great deal in helping you achieve success, be it any sphere of life.
I just go through the some research on it. I described that in below phrase:
Different psychotherapists and counselors have come up with different definitions of self-esteem. In fact, the terms self esteem, self-respect and self-integrity are deemed to be closely related with each other. To know whether you are suffering from low self-esteem (LSE), you should be able to recognize the signs and symptoms and then act accordingly. In case it is the initial stage, of mild to moderate degree of LSE, then taking care of the situation can be quite simple and easy. However, in the latter stages, it can take a lot of effort on your part and you may even need to opt for professional advice or help. Given below are some tips on how you can fix the problem of low self-esteem.

How To Overcome Low Self Esteem which i follow/used to do in my life:
·         Make a list of all your strength and weaknesses. Now, start with your strengths and talk about them. Once you feel that you can handle your weakness, select one of them and think of ways of how you can improve it.
·         Accept and welcome compliments from others, even if you feel that you don’t deserve them. Also, never fail to congratulate yourself when you do anything good.
·         Try to judge what is right for you and strive to find a balance between what you feel and what you know to be true. Make it a point not to blindly accept criticism and blame from others.
·         Do not attempt to take a major leap in life, to move closer to your goals. You should keep in mind that a single small step towards achievement is better than one major leap leading to failure.
·         Try to judge your capacities and set goals or aims in accordance with them. Failure to fulfill unexceptionally high aims can lead to a lot of depression and subsequently low self-esteem.
·         Always keep in mind that nobody in this world is perfect and desiring perfectionism from oneself can lead to low self-esteem.
·         Be careful while choosing friends. Be with only those people who support you and have a positive approach towards life.
·         Spend some time everyday in doing something that you enjoy. This can be anything from reading a book to listening to music to walking in the park. Feel yourself getting engulfed with the joy of performing these activities. This will definitely increase your sense of self worth and self-integrity.
·         Never put yourself below others and avoid any form of negative comments regarding your skills and activities.

Success means having the courage, the determination, and the will to become the person you believe you were meant to be !!

Begin From Now

Life demands so much from us
As we live from day to day
Here on earth as a being with life
Coupled with vision, goals and aspiration
The time begins now

Move out and do something worthwhile
But for now and the future
Begin again and start all over
No matter what you’ve done
Nor what you have achieve today

Everything starts from a thought
That transforms into reality
Paving way for greater result
Wakening up the subconscious mind
Let it to race to achieving greatness

Begin from now
Define your goals what you want
Write it out and work towards it
Bringing back the lost time in fruitless aimless visitation
No amount of time is to be of waste

A moment will come
When you won’t be able to stand anymore
And that’s when history would have been made
While you were busy slumbering away
Wasting precious time now wondering in painful memories

Filled with regret of not doing that which ought to be have done
Wondering away in darkness searching for road in the dark
See if you don’t take now to talk about the future
Sure I doubt you will end up in the dark wondering

I tell you, you’ve got to begin from now
To prepare and design that future
Of which you want to live in
Tomorrow is calling you held its call
There’s no better time to start then now

Purpose in Life

It is the same old story that does the rounds in every human being’s life span – as children and as youngsters; we are trained to sell ourselves in the job market, run the rat race and reach a situation wherein the only purpose of earning money is money itself and nothing else. Then one fine day we find our lives spinning out of control and are forced to take a very hard look at ourselves and ask ourselves a very typically existential question – What is the purpose of my life? Why am I here? Most of us never get the answer to this question, which prompted sardonic men like Camus and Nietzsche to question the very purpose of life at all. Do not fall into the trap of existentialists and decide that life is meaningless. Try and find out the purpose of your life by following these guidelines.
How to know Your Deeper Purpose in Life
Here’s how to know why you are here on this earth and what is the deeper purpose of your life:
Reflect Positive
You will need to spend some time all by yourself and ask yourself what is it about your life – personal, professional, and social – that you enjoy doing the most. Ask yourself as to what it is that gives you true pleasure and makes you forget everything else. Also, make a list (a physical one on paper – not a mental one in your mind or a virtual one on Microsoft Word!) of all your passions and make note of which of them you are still taking up seriously and which ones you have left behind. For example actor Rahul Bose, though he pursued films as a career, could not tear himself from his one true passion – rugby – and is a national level rugby player. Keep in mind that participating in your passion along with work and other commitments means seriously taking an active interest in them – if your passion is cricket but your only means of participating is by catching up on the IPL every season, you are not actively involved in it.
Reflect Negative
Do not get confused by the subtitle into thinking that to find the purpose of your life, you need to brood over what you regret, lost or disliked about the life that you have led. It just needs you to recognize what makes you unhappy and what areas of your life don’t feel right to you. For example, your job may be unfulfilling or you may be in an unhappy relationship. You will have to write these thoughts down as well.
Who’s That In The Mirror?
Look at your reflection in the mirror and ask yourself as to what kind of person do you see in front of you. It goes without saying that a more metaphysical level is being talked here rather than what are the physical attributes of the person you see in the mirror. Even as you assess yourself in the mirror, think about the type of person that you want to be and make a list of the goals and dreams you’d like to fulfill. Consider all the possibilities and don’t be afraid to dream big.
This Or That?
Now that you know all you need to know, it is decision-making time. Also, begin making changes to work toward your life purpose. For example, if you’ve come to the realization that you’re not happy with your current career and that it doesn’t fulfill your personal values or dreams, make a plan of action to transition into a new career that you’re passionate about.

Meaning of "Success"

‘Success’ is a personal perception. Each person has their own definition, success is a personal notion; for some it is financial security, others being healthy – for yet others it is the depth of their friendships,
In some way the questions represent a notion of ‘success’. Over time my answers may change. Interesting, however that most of the questions do relate to those five fundamental components of well-being documented by the New Economic Forum
  1. People Connection
  2. Being Active
  3. Take Notice
  4. Learning
  5. Give
Take a moment and rate yourself 1 to 10 for each of the questions below (10 representing doing really well) – and then consider of each of the elements where do you want to focus your energy (not all questions might be relevant).
After all 'success' is a personal journey.
  • Finding meaningful and fulfilling work? ___
  • Finding suitable spouse partner? ___
  • Building a successful relationship with your spouse/partner? ___
  • Raising your children? ___
  • Building and/or maintaining a close relationship with your parents? ___
  • Building and/or maintaining a close relationship with your siblings? ___
  • Developing close friendships? ___
  • Stewarding your financial resources? ___
  • Living up to your intellectual potential? ___
  • Nurturing your spiritual potential? ___
  • Dealing with your fears? ___
  • Finding wisdom? ___
  • Taking care of your physical health? ___
  • Taking care of your emotional health? ___
  • Being of service to others? ___
  • Being at one with yourself? ___
  • Accepting your limitations? ___
  • Coming to terms with aging and your own mortality? ___
  • Everyone at birth is ‘dealt a hand,’ so to speak rate the quality of the ‘hand’ you were dealt? ___
  • Overall, rate yourself on how well you believe you have played the game of life, given the hand you were dealt? ___
I have always operated believing that ‘if it is meant to be it is up to me’ – Where did you score below 5? And what are you going to do to work on that area? I’m reviewing my life in terms of the above and there is actions to be taken…
It is just as important to ask yourself hard questions about your life – and review how it is going – as it is for a business. All to often we drift from one thing to the next - not taking a moment to appreciate our 'successes'.

Women's Day Special

Today, March 8th, International Women's Day, is a day of celebration. It is also a day when each of us must recommit to ending the inequality that prevents progress in every corner of the globe. We can and we must commit to this so that each of our daughters can ride the bus to school without fear, all of our sisters can fulfill their tremendous potential, and every woman and girl can live up to her full potential
Indian women might have broken through the glass ceiling on the political, professional and corporate fronts, and urban women especially have made remarkable progress and asserted their independence in many areas involving their career and personal choices, but the fact remains that insecurity haunts them on the streets, in offices, in their own homes or even in the mother's womb.
As the Dec 16, 2012, gang-rape of a young woman in Delhi shows, women not only face harassment on the streets on a daily basis but are also victims of violent sexual assault at homes where brides are still set on fire and in offices where work harassment is a reality too.
The Indian woman today has achieved and advanced a lot be it professionally or socially owing to their strong will power. Be it any sector women are right up there and education has played a big role in that. There are a lot of strong headed women today in our society and more women are coming out, determined to prove themselves. But it is also true that social evils and taboos still exist that hinders their progress,"

Here’s to the Woman!!!!
….Who know where she is going,
And will keep on until she get there,
Who knows not only what she wants from life,
But she has to offer in return.
Here’s to the Woman….
Who is loyal  to family and friends,
Who expects no more from others,
Then she is willing to give.
Here’s to the Woman….
Who gives the gift of her thoughtfulness,
Who shows her caring with a word of support,
Her understanding with a smile,
A woman who brings joy to others,
Just by being herself.

HAPPY WOMEN'S DAY to all.Try to get respect and give respect to woman. Woman's are special. Treat them as special...

9 Attitudes towards a happy ‘You’

Today I just got some situation in which i just thought what i can do in this type of situation. I've think about for some time and just then i go through an article. So i'm sharing this in my blog....

The key to happiness is to do the same things you do every day but with a slightly different approach. Start bringing those changes in your attitude towards life and you'll see how simple it is to be happy!

Gratitude
Appreciate what you have and value it. Try counting your positives and be grateful for all the good things and people in your life. Stop complaining and be thankful for what you already have and you'll soon start feeling happy.

Optimism
Treat failure as an opportunity to learn a new and better lesson from life, and that's the trick to manufacture optimism in life. Never give up trying because that's an indication that something better is in store. Once you start harbouring an optimistic attitude towards life, success will automatically follow.

Avoid comparison
Nothing is as awful as comparing yourself to someone else. If you think you're better that the other person, you're letting yourself regale in an unhealthy sense of superiority. If you demean yourself in front of others, it means all your hard work and progress has been in vain. While social comparisons are unhealthy, self-improvement is effective.

Kindness
There's a scientific reason behind every act of kindness that you do. Helping someone selflessly releases serotonin in your brain (Serotonin is the hormone that controls your mood) and hence makes you feel good about yourself almost instantly. Try doing one act of kindness everyday to flush out the toxins of
depression from your system.

Nurture relationships
Relationships keep us alive and kicking. In fact, according to research studies loneliness doubles people's mortality rates. A circle of good
friends, loving family members and cheerful colleagues are a reminder that you have people who care about you. There's nothing like having someone who you can share your experiences with. So nurture these relationships and say goodbye to a lonesome existence.

Forgive
Hatred is a negative feeling and harbouring it will have nothing but negative effects on your well-being. Stop thinking about the hateful emotion/person and let it go. Forgive if needed, take things lightly and let it not affect your system.

Commit to your goals
If you have a goal, work towards it. Anything is achievable if you put your
heart into it. Wholehearted dedication and diligence can bring extraordinary results and consequentially add to your happiness.

Spirituality
Spirituality teaches us that life is bigger than us and it helps us connect to the larger meanings of life. Practice spirituality to understand the source of all creation and feel connected to everything that exists in this world.

Care for your body
Love yourself and love your body! Your physical condition has a direct connection with your well-being. A fit body and healthy mind is reflective of happiness. Start working towards the health of your physical, mental and emotional energy by caring for your body.
