Tribute to Yash Chopra

Yash Raj Chopra - The legendary filmmaker and Bollywood's reigning 'King of Romance' is no more, leaving the entire country in a great state of shock. Everybody is numb hearing this sad news. With his 53-year long career, 22 films and the head of India's most powerful production house Yash Raj Films, he ruled the film industry. He defined the word 'Love'. Love was in every hue in every film of his. A man who wanted perfection in every aspect of his film. Who can forget the wonderful songs of his films which make his films immortal. Almost all his films were a box-office hit. Yashji actually knew the intensity, passion and uniqueness of love which no filmmaker was and will never be able to portray. He beautifully showed the complications, rough patches and passion in a man-woman relationship. He was a filmmaker who craved for more and more. He brought in radical themes such as : unwed motherhood in Dhool ka Phool, the communal divide in Dharmaputra, bigamy in Daag, the Oedipal complex in Lamhe, obsessive love in Darr and the Indo-Pak association in Veer-Zaara. He never believed in putting sexuality in his films. He said that for a film to be a blockbuster, there has to be a touch of Indian culture. Thus, he showed mainstream Indian values in each and every film of his. He was immensely in love with Indian culture. Yashji took us through the fabulous Switzerland landscapes, the tram & train journeys there etc in DDLJ apart from the delicious Punjabi wedding rituals & lingo, the famous Brazilian carnival, the canyons with a stream of Iguazu, the beautiful beach & city of Brazil in Dhoom 2, Amsterdam & London in Hum Tum, London & Istanbul in Ek tha tiger,etc etc etc.He announced his retirement from directing after directing the film Jab Tak Hai Jaan which is slated for a Diwali release. Nothing can be more ironical than the fact that he titled his film 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan'. There can never be another Yash Raj Chopra. His sad demise marks the end of a whole era of love and romance. He will be missed and remembered forever by generations to come.

Rajesh Khanna is and was Phenomena. Thou he has only Six Solid Year of Startdom (from 1968 to 1974) but that was not a stardom it was Super Stardom. specially during 1969 to 1971 in this three years, he delivered 16 Superhit films in a line. If you see earlier and even Todays So Called Superstar they do not have that number of Superhit in entire their Career. From the Starting he has developed his own and Unique Style of Acting, Dance and Fashion, all other Star either and even current generation actors are either influenced from Indian or Hollywood Superstar. It is his personality which forced the world to look and think beyond Star status and became Superstar. His presence in any movie gives Guarntee of Success, Andazz (with only 15 Minute of Roles including Song) is live example. There was a Slogan in Bollywood "Upper Akka, Niche Kaka" . You can imagine his Stardom when we realise that we are talking of the era when Communication medium like TV, Mobile etc. were not there. Marketing Gimmick and Media Hype and doesn't define the Success of any Movie. In those Era Audiance decide to enter inside the theatre only based on Hand Made Poster. In that sense no other earlier or even current Star or Superstar touch the status he has achieved. We don't have right to comment on his personal life. On Professional front, his Stardom would have been longer if he could have maintain Good Personal Relation with his Team specially with his Directors. All Directors those who have given their first or biggest hit in their career like Yashraj (Daag, Ittefaque), Shakti Samant, Hrishikesh (Anand, Bawarchi, Namak Haram), Omprakash shifted to other star including Amitabh and there association continue. Ultimately Filmmaking is Team effort. Anyway Rajesh Khanna was a Legend and Great Achiever and will always be remember as a Great Family Entertainer.

Tribute to a Great achiver

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. I have to admit, I used to hate Steve Jobs. After a thousand 'Jobs Vs. Gates' arguments with my buddies, a million articles about Steve Jobs and his history around the internet which never once talked only about positive side, A Day of 'Pirates of the Silicon Valley' movie which also really didn't portray him half as a so-called nice guy, here I am saddened for the loss of a man who millions of us truly admire.

 Now I guess I have to admit that as a great one, was that Steve Jobs was  a technology geek, he did not know how to code, he doesn't know if the algorithm is optimal, but It took me some time to realize that was actually part of his greatness.

RIP Steve Jobs.

We will miss you for the years to come and remember you forever.
